Stress Relief through Deep Breathing & Guided Imagery
Participants learn and practice basic, easy relaxation techniques that relieve stress and support wellness. This class is ongoing. Participants are encouraged to attend multiple classes to master various techniques.
Introduction to Stress Management (adults)
Participants learn about the biology of stress and how and why it has such profound effects on our lives. They will also identify personal stressors and coping techniques, as well as develop a personal stress management plan.
Stress Relief through Creative Expression
Participants learn about the value and role of creative expression in relieving stress and are given the opportunity to sample a variety of expressive activities.
Stress Management for Youth
Participants learn and practice easy, basic relaxation techniques that relieve stress and support wellness. Deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, visualization, guided imagery, and personal expression will be introduced.
Tension Tamers: Parent Child Stress Relief (school age)
Tension Tamers: Parent-Child Stress Relief (preschool)
Parents and their kids learn ways to reduce stress together through imagination and breathing games in addition to fun, physical activities with purpose.
Basic Principles of Parenting
Parents will explore the fundamentals of raising happy, healthy children to help them navigate parenthood with simple and universal skills that apply to all parents and children. Special focus will help teach deployed parents can actively step back into the role of parenting as well as how to help deployed Soldiers and their spouse negotiate how to set up a discipline plan in their household.
Building a Stronger Relationship with Your Child through Play
Parents will explore through hands on activities games and activities that will help them not only foster their child’s development but also help them bond and communicate with them. Activities will range from toddler to teens.
Anger Management
Participates will learn and practice the basics of anger management. This ongoing series not only teaches the basics but focuses on a new strategy for managing one’s anger each week.
Communication Miracles for Couples
Couples will learn easy and effective tools to create more love and less conflict. Participants will learn how to : help them and their partner feel totally loved, no matter how hurt or angry they are; how to communicate their needs and hear their partner; and negotiate their way past any problem. This workshop will also explore the 5 Love Languages.
First Term Training
Required training for E4 and below and first assignment once they arrive. Spouses are encouraged to attend.
