Hike & Climb

Vicenza Outdoor Recreation is dedicated to creating innovative and exciting hiking and rock climbing trips, and safe and practical instruction. In addition, our indoor rock wall offers the opportunity for climbers of all abilities to challenge and enjoy themselves in a fun and safe environment.

Overnight Mountain Hut Hike
Sud Tirol Dolomites
This is one of the most dramatic and exciting hiking areas in the Alps. Strikingly different from the French and Swiss Alps, the limestone Dolomites of northern Italy rise dramatically from Alpine Valleys to form startling, spire-like peaks and towering canyonesque rock faces. Beginning in the Sud Tirol, we will hike along the hgh route, Alta Via 1, through the Pragser, Tofana Civetta mountain groups. The impressive scenery and vareity of the terrain is matched only by the warmth and hospitality of the rifugio and hotels. The unusual contrasts in landscapes, added to the curious mix of Italian and Austrian influences, means fantastic hiking and plenty of pasta!

Rock Climbing Courses
Courses are taught based on your schedule. Our course is 10 hours long, broken down into 2 parts: 2 hours in the classroom and 8 hours of practical instruction. Prices vary based on the number of participants.

Climbing Trips
The climbing trips offered by Vicenza Outdoor Recreation are open to individuals who have either completed the Vicenza Outdoor Recreation Rock Climbing Course, or to those who show adequate skill. Instruction is not available on the trip.
